The plan was to do a loop through a number of towns that have an elevator, plus pop into Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park.
Well, the pop turned into a wonderful late morning into afternoon around Good Spirit Lake. We hiked the trail to the sand dunes, coming across all sorts of photogenic stuff.
We cut our loop short and returned to Canora to free up Hobbes and then enjoy a nice cheese fondue.
Lez walked up a sweat: Our plan for the touring day in Chuck, the truck, was quite a long one, starting with the photo of the Gorlitz grain elevator, then a stop at Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park. We headed out about 10:30 for an estimated 2 hr 48 min 233km route that would also include Theodore, Foam Lake and Kuroki for more elevator photos.
Well, we left Good Spirit Park about 3 pm and headed for home (aka the Schooner). What a gem Good Spirit is! We hiked along the lake shore, and the sand dunes, getting some great photos along the way. We had our picnic lunch with us, lots of water and the cloudy but comfy temperature was perfect for what ended in a 7km hike. We will sleep well tonight!
