Holy moly Janome.
Port Ordze, Sherwood Park AB (2 stars)
We were both wide awake at 5 am for some reason. So, we decided to go for a walk and take some early morning photos. We ended up at the north end of Ordze Crescent and decided to have breakfast at the AandW on Wye Road. After returning to the Schooner, it was time to head over to Johnson's Sewing Centre to pick up Lez's new Janome QOV-badged sewing machine. Lez had her picture taken with one of the owners. Lez was also surprised to see that the box contains a sheet outlining what QOV is and its history, including mention of Lez starting the society. The shop had ordered 50 units and already 21 had been sold. Next, we headed over to the warm storage location to see if we could find a box of music CDs and DVDs (we were getting tired of the 30 or so we had in the Schooner). After some digging, we found the box, plus some other things we needed sooner rather later. Once back at the Schooner, we had lunch and promptly fell asleep for a bit (the 5 am rising caught up with us). Later that evening, we had wine and cheese with the Zeisslers. Finally, Lez finished the evening unpacking her new sewing machine.
Lez notes: I took a great photo of two Ogres - the Summer Soltice Ogres. (very long shadows at sunrise)
