Corvid delight, but which one is it.

Lee thought today would be a good day to put some distance behind us. But also, there was the anticipation of driving on the temporary highway 1 (highway 95 and also referred to temporarily as highway 1A). Well, that was anti-climatic. The traffic was light going north and only occasionally did we see a number of 18 wheelers coming the other way. The Trans-Canada to Rogers Pass was no different.
We stopped at the Rogers Pass Commerative thingee for lunch. As we sat on the picnic table, we were visited by a member of the Corvid family, likely a Blue Jay. Lez thinks it might have been a young one.
We moored at Revelstoke RV amidst a field of apples or pears, and acorns. Lee wonders what we will hear on the roof overnight.
Today was filled with another super weather day for travel and photos. Even though we went through several construction sections along Highway 1, traffic was never greatly hindered.
We stopped for lunch at the top of Rogers Pass National Historic Site. Hobbes checked out all the monuments and info boards. Well, he sniffed around the bases.
A Stellar's Jay joined the picnic table as soon as we pulled out our lunch. I headed for the truck and brought back the bird seed containers we keep on hand when we used to go through Clifford E Lee sanctuary south west of Edmonton. I figured the pine nuts and sunflower seeds would be an ok item to leave for them. It drew in the Jay and we got a couple of great photos. It was looking a little ruffled, and I wonder if it is a Juvenile.
We ended our evening with coffee around the fire bowl, which is quickly becoming our evening ritual. Even Hobbes joins us for a portion of the warmth, as he gets comfy in his own lawn chair.
