No more toothless grin.

VIP Motel, Parksville BC (2 stars)

After 16 months, Lee finally has his front tooth back. Broken tooth extraction, healing, implant post put in, healing, measure up for the crown, wait for the lab to build the crown, and finally this morning he had the crown installed.

No end to the fun and frivolity today. Next we get the U-Haul trailer and move everything from the storage unit into the trailer. The rental folks took a look at our stuff and wisely decided to upgrade us to the next size trailer. Good thing. We have a lot of stuff.

Then we leave the storage place with the trailer in tow and get about a quarter kilometer when there is clang and we see that the hitch has come out of its housing on Chuck. The nice man from U-Lock comes to help and we discover that the lock pin was not correctly in place. Fix that up, re-hook the trailer and everything is now fine. It's parked for the night in the motel parking lot for us to finish packing last items and leave bright and early in the morning to catch the ferry to the mainland.

We are really ready to leave. The rented storage unit is back to bare concrete. The U-Haul is filled to the brim, and then some. Lee has wanderd to mom's with our food items we won't take back with us. Yes, he walked over, in the rain! I graciously declined. The U-haul is still attached to Chuck, and we are not going to dis-connect until we get back home. BC Ferries will wring their hands in glee when they see us coming. It's no cheap venture.
