Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

We drove over to a spit of land that was formerly private property and was recently purchased by Chip Wilson and donated to the local Nature Conservancy Group. They intend to make it a public space for all to enjoy. The buildings and other fixtures have already been removed.

Chip Wilson is of course the founder of Lululemon.

Quilter friend Chris picked me up today for a coffee date with mutual friend Joan who is currently QOVC Rep for Nanaimo. Lots of catching up to do and conversation left no silent moments. We sat at Timmies and enjoyed the warmth of sun coming through the windows. Lee picked me up when we were done, and the two of us headed out to poke around in Chuck.

A very interesting perspective of the area that once was a homestead. It is good to see that it will be a preserved natural space.
