Oh to be young again and have those healing powers. Brady van Herk ripped open his cheek and inside lower lip. He required many stitches. That was in a game a week ago. He played in the game tonight and scored a goal and an assist.

We headed out this afternoon to Rathtrevor Park for a short walk and good sniff of the fresh air. It had been awhile since we last went out there.

Dinner was pub fare at the Nanaimo Longwood Brew Pub, another spot we have enjoyed before but not this time spent in Parksville area. A long tasty meal and then off to Nanaimo for the Generals hockey game. It was a nice catch up with the Van Herk family as we cheered player Brady van Herk and the team to a 6-1 victory over the Nanaimo Buccaneers. Brady got a goal and an assist. So good to see him back on the ice.
