A cold loss.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
We had a wonderful day with Deb Woods in Victoria today. We hadn't seen her for almost two years so there was lots of catching up to do.
We also shared many stories of growing up in Saskatchewan. Deb was born in Tyvan just SE of Regina.
Later on, we took Deb with us to see the Oceanside Generals play the Victoria Cougars in Esquimalt. Unfortunately we lost, but it was fun all the same. The old rink was mighty cold also, but we warmed up as we drove Deb home in a warm truck. Then came the drive back to Parksville. We were home before midnight.
This was a day in Victoria filled with memories, and enjoying the catchup with friend Deb Woods, widow of our friend Aubrey Eichel. Lots of stories, as Deb grew up in Saskatchewan as did Lee and I.
We enjoyed dinner and the three of us headed out to enjoy our respective junior hockey teams go head to head. The Oceanside Generals jersey was proudly worn by yours truly.
