The things small town hockey teams do to draw fans. Tonight was a good example. Trying to get a golf ball into the net, shooting a puck into the net through a small hole (the prize is up to $ 1,250), then a pizza eating contest and shooting some T-shirts into the crowd.

Oh, and there was a hockey game too. We won 6-3 over Lake Cowichan with our boy from Bentley, Alberta, Tyler Gyori, getting four goals. We had a great time.

Hockey Night in Parksville! And our game was a win for the Gens. We sat as always with the van Herk family - catching up tonight on the hockey possibilities Brady has before him.
