The Mallard Flotilla.

Among the places we shopped at today was the Coombs Country Market, also known as Goats on the Roof. They have some wooden goats sitting on the roof; I guess the real ones are off for the winter. It's really not the same though.

Lez called it a Mallard flotilla which is quite accurate. At times there were almost a hundred of them nearby.

Well, you know you have become part of the neighbourhood when you leave the grocery store and meet up with a neighbour heading in. It might sound "so", but we have been here four years and this was a first that I can recall.

The day is another gloomy day on the estuary, clouds really low, no mountains visible. The ducks and geese are, of course, oblivious to that, and they remind me of tiny sailboats floating along the estuary.
