Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

While we watch a pair of eagles right across the estuary channel behind us, Lee is scanning some old concert posters. One of them brings back memories of Kenny Shields as vocalist in Streetheart. He was a great singer and a great friend of ours. We are glad to have been entertained by him so many times.

The Eagle and possibly its partner are at the root ball stump again today and Lee heads out to photo the rare moment. They leave with wide spread wings, magnificent birds, and several different flocks of ducks and geese scatter! I'm watching from my laptop inside, and just marvel at the beautiful sight. Yes, this is definitely the best site at Surfside.

We caught a lazy afternoon snooze with nothing in the daytimer to indicate any commitment. Still going through the coil bound diary notes. Quite a trip back in time.
