The hamburger moon.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Lee notes that we will miss Surfside RV over the summer, mostly because of what we saw (again) today. The wildlife around here is wonderful. Eagles at sunset and then there was the less than six foot distance between Hobbes and a black tailed deer. And we were sitting on the picnic table just another six feet further back.

And then there is the fun of watching Canada Geese land and take-off from the waterway. There is no elegance to it; just a lot of splashing water.

Lez takes too many pictures: Again, the camera is busy clicking away! The Black-tailed Deer are curious about that yellow creature and Hobbes really doesn't care about the deer. We had coffee at the picnic table, and the one curious deer came withing about 2 meters. No need to zoom the lens.

I spent some time at mom's as we set up her tablet to be able to join our family dinners with one fingertip poke. We have been conferencing using my laptop while here.

The day ended with a wonderful sunset walk and catching a full moon rising. (Hence extra photos).
