Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Alright, let's keep cleaning and organizing in preparation for the run to Alberta. Today we removed, washed and stored away the slide covers that Lez had made when we got here.

Lez went for a walk with her mother on the Parksville Boardwalk (about 50 meters from the Schooner) and they came back with some goodies we enjoyed on the picnic table.

As we found out from mom, some of dad's ashes are spread in the Parksville Boardwalk boulevard right across from our Schooner. I guess dad has been looking out for us all winter.

Lez notes: The cleaning is going well, and the new totes we picked up duly filled and reorganized. There is even a small pile to go to the Goodwill store. A few bags of items to be delivered on the way to and in Edmonton are starting to accumulate in the back seat of Chuck. We will be able to book a spot on the ferry to the mainland, as we are travelling for essential reasons. As much as we enjoy this area, and SO appreciate being able to visit with mom, we are anxious to hit the road once more.

It is sometimes a wonder how things work out. To have chosen the spot to dock for the winter from a small chart of spots, and after being here overwinter to learn that dad's ashes are just the other side of the fence across the street.
