It's so quiet that the chainsaw we hear is Hobbes snoring.

So quiet, until family dinner time, that is. We had a great time with a video conference set up outside the Schooner. Near the end, Lez picked up the laptop and showed the others a little bit of our surroundings.

Lez has a big smile: The day was a golden one - clearest blue skies, no wind. I'm doing some finished touches on a couple of "gifties".

We set up the bar-b-que for a steak dinner, with the pita chips and garlic hummus starter. We've invited mom to join us at our picnic table and enjoy the steak dinner. Master chef cooked us up some good eats, and along with the roasted veggies, wine and the dessert mom brought, we enjoyed a great meal and even better conversation with the family and a backdrop view we have been enjoying all winter. The incredible gold of the sunset had the camera smokin' again. This time we sent MOM home with a leftover.
