Seeing close friends at Surfside RV Resort.

Tide's Inn Motel, Parksville BC (2 stars)

I began the day with a visit to one of mom Worel's best friends, Jan Reinson, and her husband Bud. Jan and mom sang together in the Sweet Adelines back in the 60's and 70's. They live in Craig Bay, a community within Parksville.

Jan was born and raised in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan. I think her heart still lives there.

In the afternoon, I visited the Holdens and Atkinsons in Surfside RV Resort. This is the place where Lez and I spent four winters in our RV, the Schooner. They were our friends and neighbours.

Both couples are now permanently in Surfside, mostly because of health and the nonsense going on in the US. We spent a great time talking about the environment, salmon fishing, american politics and of course life on the wet coast.

True, true friends. Great to see them again.
