Driving across the prairies. [Oct 15, 2026]

Driving to Regina as the crow flies.

We drove more or less in a straight line from Edmonton to Regina today. We avoided the big highways and enjoyed the peace and calm of the smaller roads across Alberta and Saskatchewan.

As we crossed the border west of Macklin, SK, the road went from freshly paved to well used. No jokes about Saskatchewan highways here, it was just fine.

On the way just NW of Moose Jaw we took a few minutes to drive through Brenda's birth place, Marquis, SK. We saw the house she was born in, the old skating and curling rink, the ball fields, and more. A bit nostalgic for her.

We decided to stop in Moose Jaw to see some of Brenda's sisters, three of them in fact. We had a nice supper with them before heading to Regina.
