I decided to leave a day early and enjoy the sights and smells of the southern Alberta countryside. As I got closer to Lethbridge, the temperature soared to +35c. Most farms I saw were heavily watering their fields which were seeded in crop circles to match the irrigation equipment movement.
The St. Mary River irrigation canals have been a godsend to the farmers down there.
I stopped in the town of Mossleigh to grab a bottle of water and noticed they have three elevators in town. They are apparently part of a historical collection in town. The elevators look to be in good shape and they also have a sizable collection of wooden box cars and passenger cars.
