Hugging the American border.

Map - Pincher Creek to Milk River

We chose to drive east on a route we had not been on before. First we drove back to Waterton Park. Then we turned east on AB 501.

There are many beautiful (and large) houses on acreages just after turning onto AB 501. And no wonder, the views of the mountains from their balconies and porches is spectacular.

We drove through Cardston and grabbed a side street to take a photo of the Cardston Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A very impressive piece of architecture.

Some distance further east we drove through the spot where the town of Whiskey Gap once stood. Its name is spelled the american way because the town was essentially a trading spot for american bootleggers to trade liquor to the local first nations people. It is now completely gone and some remaining buildings are now in Del Bonita.

We finished our day in Milk River.

Getting closer to home, not sure we are ready to slow down.

We are catching up on the blog today.
