Great food in Greenwood BC.
Map - Osoyoos to CrestonWe started with a visit to Moon Curser vineyards. They only lost one grape variety during the January 2024 deep freeze, Arneis, which they have decided not to re-plant. Lucky for us, the other uncommon grapes that we love from them did not suffer.
We spent a bit of time at the lookout on Highway 3 above Osoyoos. We spoke to a couple from the Netherlands who are travelling across Canada.
Greenwood BC is an old mining town along Highway 3. We visited an antique shop and then had lunch at a really neat cafe.
We eventually stopped in Creston for the night. One of the people in the office was teaching another person how to use the computerized check-in application. It was a very entertaining 15 minutes or so for Lee.
After a good night's snooze we re-visited an old favourite wine maker at Moon Curser winery and enjoyed a tasting and chat with the staff who were very interested in our stories of our longstanding support of the winery. Meeting the Dutch visitors at a look-out along HWY 3 was a nice surprise and we are pleased to acknowledge they have a very positive, friendly country. I think they were a little surprised that Lee speaks Dutch, and I think they appreciated the break from having to speak English.
As we wandered away and came across an antique shop. I think Lee was relieved I didn't "need" anything.
