ZZ Zwaal at the concert.

We took in a concert at the River Cree Casino tonight. The band was ZZ Top from Dallas Texas. We had seen them many years, maybe decades, ago. But they sounded and looked great. Elwood Francis has taken over from the late Dusty Hill. No loss in quality though given that Elwood was their guitar tech for almost thirty years.

ZZ Top has always emphasized the showmanship on stage. The clothes, the beards, and of course, the guitars.

Elwood Francis started the concert playing his 17-string bass guitar. What an instrument! What really stood out this evening were the matching lead and bass guitars with built-in LED screens. Too cool!
