The Wild Roses are in bloom.

A visit to our favourite walking paths showed the Wild Roses to be mostly in full bloom. To us they are better know as the Alberta Wild Rose, our provincial flower.

We also caught sight of a bird we had not seen before, what looks like an Eastern Kingbird. They are apparently well known in our part of Canada in summer.

Our walk into the Clifford E Lee Sanctuary was interesting, as the boardwalk is under re-construction, as in not there. The spring weather has dried up a lot of the path, leaving it in many potholes and very difficult for me to maneuver. I did my best and managed a bit more than last time. Our sighting of the Eastern Kingbird was a very pleasant surprise. He is appropriately named, as he is a very kingly noble bird.
