An unusual morning hockey game.

We went to an Oil Kings game that started at 11 o'clock in the morning. It seems strange to be sitting in Rogers Place right after breakfast, but there we were.

Today was the annual Hockey Hooky game. Children from schoolsin Edmonton and surrounding areas were given tickets for the game. We looked out onto the parking lot between periods and counted almost 100 school buses in the lost. The rink was almost full to capacity.

So what is hooky. Playing hooky means to stay away from school or work without permission. In this case, the kids had permission of course.
