Good-bye to the Yukon tomorrow.
Downtown RV Park, Watson Lake YT (1 star)
We visited the Northern Lights Center in Watson Lake to see a fantastic film about the northern lights. We must head north during the winter some time to see them for ourselves.
It has been 35 wonderful days in the Yukon. I'll let Lez put it in perspective.
Farewell Yukon
I will miss the purple flowers, the endless shades of green,
The shades of higher mountains, the wildlife I've seen.
The skies are endless blue, with popcorn puffy cloud.
To see and share our country, a Canadian very proud.
The highway is twisted like a ribbon so long.
There is only one road, you can't really go wrong.
We're living the dream with the Schooner in tow
As our pick-up named Chuck pulls the Schooner not slow.
My man at the wheel, with our NAV system Sally,
Through many thick forest and wide open valley.
Oh the miles we cover on these long August days
The day does wear on, "docking next campground" Lee says.
More great adventures and firepit nights.
With our country so vast and filled with such sights.
So I write this down now, because come the Fall,
Without a wee prompt, I won't remember them all.
