Almost caught by the tide.

Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Lee wakes up early for some reason. Lez does the same and our day starts way too early - before 7 am. LOL

We spent a couple of refreshing hours on the Parksville Bay which was pretty much empty of water due to low tide. Next thing we knew, the tide was coming in and the spit we were on was becoming an island. You guessed it - slightly wet shoes and feet as we negotiated the best of the worst places to get back to the mainland.

The day came to a close with BBQing in the rain (under the awning though) and another Oil Kings victory on the TV. It's all good.

Lez is awake at 7 a.m. No, I was not ill - just went to bed earlier than usual last night after a busy day. We went for a walk - a romantic stroll to take a bag of garbage to the resort's large containers. It was so still and not cold that we decided to continue enjoying the weather and decided on a quiet wander out onto the very low tide shore - void of water.

Very refreshed, we returned and put a topsy turvey back table into some semblance of order again. Fireplace working nicely.
