Filling bag after bag after bag.

Port Ordze, Sherwood Park, AB (2 stars)

Lee spent the day at work filling many bags with material that election workers would need at both the advance and regular polling days. It is hard work, but he enjoys it. The camaraderie with the team at Edmonton West is great.

Lez went off to work: Our 2021 Federal Election is coming up on September 20. There is so much work behind the scenes, and with the heads up earlier and the query from the Returning Officer hoping we would be on board again - we said "of course!". It is an interesting process, and I am working either as a receptionist - "Hello - Bonjour" must start every greeting! Lots of people calling in to confirm one piece of information or another. Other days, I am working as a Service Agent - one of several who have been on board as soon as our supplies came in. We prep the paperwork to allow voters to vote via a "Special Ballot". A little more paperwork than Polling Day, but very interesting. Many of the agents are ones I worked with last Federal election - so when it is quiet, there is a lot of catching up going on! We come home tired, enjoy a dinner and early to bed, sleeping like lots in our comfy home on wheels.
