Tisdale Bodyshop saves Chuck.

Tisdale Lions Campground (2 stars)

Well, Lee started researching what was available locally to do some interim repairs on Chuck in order to continue our trip and leave the permanent repairs for Edmonton. Soon, we drove to Tisdale Autobody and Glass where Garnet and Glen immediately took to repairs. They were great! A couple of hours later, the box rail had been reasonably straightened (they used their tow truck to lift and pull, apparently) and the box cover is once again in place. The tailgate also opens and closes again like new. What a great bunch of folks there.

We returned to the Schooner and literally fell into the shower and a snooze.

We are ready to continue our Roads Less Gravelled journey.

Lez is grateful: For the people who come to the rescue - for anything! Today we needed repairs to enable us to travel with Chuck and the Schooner and still be able to lock up the truck bed when we are docked or not attached to the RV. Yes, autobody repair is their business, but the people at Tisdale Autobody and Glass had a stressed out couple's repairs well in hand, had a loaner vehicle for us to use for the day and left nothing for Lee to finish up (he was prepared to re-install the bed rail) and to completely be able to continue on the Roads adventures.

Stressful as it was, the repair work was efficiently dealt with, and we are re-settled after a short move at our campground to a site where we can spend a couple more days tending to other maintenance items that a unit needs from time to time. It will be another over 30C day tomorrow, and having power to keep the AC even on low makes life more comfortable.

We will be ready to move on.
