Blowing snow on the Yellowhead Highway

It was -31c with a cold north wind in the morning. We had decided at breakfast that we should go home a day early given the weather.

Tiggy had been plugged in and started reasonably well. However, everything was just cold and frozen. The biggest problem was that the electric power steering was not working. We decided Lee would "strong arm" the steering and we would head to Edmonton. Lee felt the steering reminded him of the cars he used to own that had power anything. Luckly the roads are straight and very little steering was required.

After a couple of hours we stopped in Davidson at the Timmies for coffee and Timbits. When we started the car the steering had loosened up and the power steering was working fine. We drove home in drifting snow conditions without further incident.

Heading home after skipping more visiting around Regina. Wanted as much daylight to travel in as possible. Winds blew the loose snow off the bald prairie fields, adding an interesting set of strips across the road.
