It would have been a 75th anniversary     [Jul 21, 2024]

The heat wave continues.

It has been hot now for almost a week with temperatures over 30c each day and very little wind. Thank goodness we have air conditioning in the apartment.

Today would have been Lee's parent's 75th anniversary. They have both been gone for many years but we did meet someone last week whose parents are both alive and celebrating 75 years together. Quite a feat.

It is very dry out in the Edmonton area, fire bans everywhere. The skies are not blue, but a smoky white.

We may not venture out of the apartment. My sewing machine has been busy too, as I go through various boxes and finding and completing a project or two. Completing a few quilts, for gifts and for Good Will. I found the box of quilt squares from an exchange back in 1999 according to the postage cancellation on the envelope with some squares. I will be able to keep busy.
