A late May visit to the Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary.

You would think ducks stay in the water as a first choice. But a pair of Mallards were on the boardwalk with us. Lee wonders if they were trying to find a suitable nesting place.

The Red-Winged Blackbirds were singing continuously today.

It feels like a VERY long time since we wandered the path through the nature sanctuary. The weather was perfect - a bit of a breeze, sun playing hide and seek in the clouds, boardwalk not too busy. We followed - or were led away from a nest - of a pair of Mallards who share the boardwalk with visitors. The cameras were smokin'. Enjoy.
