And then the sirens went off.
Lee was helping Alec in his basement when Lez called in a panic. The alarm had gone off in the apartment building and Lez could not find her key. Lee drive back in a hurry and helped Lez calm down a bit. The alarm was off and he found her key, which was hanging on Alec's key holder. Some good it was hanging there; it was attached to Chuck's fob. Chuck is currently parked at Alec's place. All's well that ends well.
As I am filling shelves with our extensive CD collection, a fire alarm goes off in the building. Opening the door there are a few others doing the same. No one is rushing out. The elevators note not to be used in a fire alarm, stairs are to be used. I join many other residents of the building outside, fortunately a sunny day, not too cold. I hear that this is almost a daily event. It had me quite upset, as we have lived in apartments over the years and don't recall having to evacuate. It is possible and I have just forgotten.
We enjoyed a cheese fondue for dinner, and then went through the Dairy Queen for dessert. Yum. Now checking out a possible movie to carry us through the evening. Yes, we are home.
