The lava beds near the Nass River     [Jun 7, 2023]

Around 1700, the Tseax Cone erupted, sending lava flowing down into the Nass River valley. It creates Lava Lake and moved the Nass River to the north side of the valley.

The lava is both eerie and spectacular to see. Highway 113 goes through the middle of the largest piece. It reminded Lee of the Frank Slide area in southern Alberta.
