It is with great sadness that we learned that our dear friend of over 45 years, Aubrey Eichel, had passed away last night. The Ace, as we liked to call him, worked with Lee at the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, with him at MSL, taught us how to sail, and filled our heads with thought-provoking comments whenever we were together.
Rest in peace, big guy. Stay strong, Deb.
The ACE - as we will always refer to Aubrey, was a very special long-standing friend who was almost like a brother. Family. From watching the Moose Jaw air shows, to introducing us to a love of sailing, to spending a memorable Christmas with us and our son Alec, to truly teaching us the ropes. LOL - he would gently remind me at this time... they are not ropes they are lines! Without his teachings and encouragement we never would have earned our sailing papers. Great memories will be with us forever. A great friend leaving us with special memories. Our hearts are with you Deb. We will keep in touch.
