Macarena round the firepit.

We had an absolutely wonderful time under the beautiful trees in Zeissler's yard with some of the Macarena ladies and their spouses. That was followed by hot dogs over the firepit and then some great conversation around the fire as the sun was setting.

Reference to Ladies Night and Macarena goes back many years when twelve young families, including ours moved into La Perle, a new community in Edmonton. We moms met as new residents and our precious litte ones went to playschool together. We quickly formed a babysitting co-op, exchanging business cards worth a half hour of babysitting (or was it one hour). The system also bonded us moms since, yes - the early 1980's. Some of those ladies and our hubbies were able to gather around our hosts' firepit and enjoy another Macarena gathering. A big shout out "Thank you" to our hosts who are giving us space to park The Schooner for another season in before wandering on again.
