We took our first tram ride from the hotel at Hofplein down the Coolsingel to its end at Churchillplein. From there a short walk to the daily market (Tuesdays and Saturdays) and the Markthal next to it. That building is still a wonder to us (it was European Building of the Year a few years ago).
Lee has a cousin in Rotterdam named Cobi, the daughter of his late uncle Jaap (Jacob). We went over to her place for coffee and chatted until her two daughters arrived. We then went over to a famous Rotterdam restaurant called the Ballentent (the meat ball restaurant).Water taxis are essential to quick traffic in the Rotterdam harbour.
