Gone is the old step

Lee took out the old fold-in step from the Schooner today. That's the one lovingly called the diving board. We have had a better step the folds into the Schooner before you close the door to travel. So, time to get rid of that useless (and heavy) piece of junk.

There are many people who walk their dogs in the Parksville Park. Some bring along a ball and throw it, time after time, for the dog to retrieve. Lee knows the dog is having fun, but he tries to imagine doing that with a cat. Like Hobbes, for instance. The first time you throw the ball, you can imagine Hobbes's thought process. "It's over there, buddy". "No thanks, YOU go bring it back". "Do I look like a dog". "For extra treats, I might LEAD you to the ball". "Why not drop it right here by your shoes, it'll be a lot easier to retrieve". "You play here, I'm going back for a snooze".

A good day to be doing chores, inside with windows open and a fresh breeze filling the Schooner. and setting up the lawn chairs to enjoy our second cup. The daytimer on the phone is totally blank.

I'm feeling a little under the weather today and an afternoon nap is in order.
