Well, time to think about tires for Chuck. The originals have 50,000 clicks on them and we are going to the Yukon in a few weeks. First off for an estimate at the local branch of a great Edmonton-based tire store. Then, off to get the obligatory estimate from Canada's Tire store. Cheaper of course for the same tires. So, knowing as I do that car dealers are always more expensive (just ask our son Aaron at Norden VW in Edmonton), I take the time to go to the local dealer for a quote.
Cheaper then Canada's Tire store! Huh Quote error Different tires Bait and switch I think not. I think they just have a sharper pencil when it comes to selling tires. We'll see how this pans out.
OK - you are probably scratching your head wondering where mine is! We listen to a local radio station, and it is interesting to interpret what they are sometimes saying. Enunciation is not one of their strengths and the legal firm in one of their ads, truly sounds like Burger, Sniff and Hurdle.
A coffee date with Chris Longmore this morning had us catching up on our worlds. There is never an end to topics discussed and our take on solving the world's problems. Lee stopped by after his list of chores were done and joined in on the state of affairs.
Afternoon finds me at my sewing machine working on a small quilt using the cross-stitched squares I was given from Willie van Herk. She and hubby are staunch supporters of grandson Brady who plays D for the Oceanside Generals.
Weather is still cold, overcast and off and on raining. The snow we had is now gone, with a few little piles of the white stuff. Roads are clear, just wet.
