Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)

Into Nanaimo for a CT Scan on my lower back. Done in two minutes just like in the movies. Preceded by a nice meal in a nice cafe called The Modern in downtown Nanaimo. All in all, a nice day with my best friend.

Even though I spent the day riding, sitting and waiting LOL I was exhausted when we finally called it a night. Our travel was slushy roads, some places ice. Lee carefully maneuvered our way into Nanaimo, but my eyes never left the roads. The visit to the medical centre went quickly, as, because of the roads, several appointments were cancelled - and Lee was quickly attended to. Kudos to the staff at the hospital's scan clinic who made it into work, with their very efficient service. Also kudos to "The Modern" restaurant staff - a great meal, and leisurely dinner with my buddy. Home safe and sound, with a weather adventure we did not anticipate. well we did have the window scraper.
