Lez, the Mexican train mogul.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
We played a few rounds of Mexican Train with the Atkinsons today. Lez was a winner in one of them and Lee just accumulated a whole whack of points to come in dead last.
But, we had a great time with our wonderful neighbours.
After Daryl's confirmation of the 1983 Streetheart concert, Lee started some research. And sure enough he found the answer on bass player Spider's web site. The boys recorded "Live After Dark" in Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Regina. In Edmonton it took place on July 26 and 27, 1983 at the Convention Inn South Ballroom. And we were there on one of the days. That is the oldest of our 41 Streetheart gigs.
My favourite board games - either Mexican Train or Ticket to Ride. Using Domino style tiles, you move your marker acround the board depending on the directions you get from the cards you pull from the deck. I was lucky in the card draws and managed the win - made my day! I enjoy the banter we share.
Back to working on a quilt, and an evening catching a movie.
