So much for four wheel drive.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Lee observes that temperatures above zero accompanied by strong winds do quite a number on melting snow. Wow! It's almost gone now, just as he thought it might stay with us until Easter. You would never know we had had any snow around here.
It rained almost all night. We spent a quiet day hunkered down in the RV, as the weather continued with rain and grey skies. However, shortly after lunch there was a break in the clouds over the island and blue skies graced our world for a few hours.
I spent most of the day working on a quilt from a kit for the Parksville guild, all the needed fabrics and the pattern were included, just my thread and time needed to complete it. In typical fashion, I deviated from the pattern. It will be a smaller comfort quilt, lap size that the guild gives to various personal support organizations.
We ended our evening in a usual winter evening - around the fireplace (fake) watching Jack Ryan portraying an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment. We have enjoyed the tv/movie versions of Tom Clancy's writing for years.
