Hockey road trip to Campbell River.

Lee says - well, why not. The Generals have one more game before the Christmas break and it is a first place battle against the Campbell River Storm. Let's drive up there and take it in

OK, so the highly anticipated first-place battle with the Campbell River Storm was, uh, very one-sided. The Generals produced a 6-0 lead and held it until two meaningless goals by the Storm near the end. The Generals are now three points ahead in first place and have a game in hand. A nice way to start the Christmas break. The Van Herk family was also there and we sat with them in a group of vocal Generals fans that had come up from Parksville and beyond.

We wandered our way to Campbell River, stopped in at the Coombs Dutch store, stocking up on the Dutch treats, had lunch at a fish and chip place, popped into a hobby shop and a quilt shop, yes, came out with a wee bit of fabric.

We enjoyed the Generals win, and the banter back and forth with the van Herk family.
