It is so nice to be able to spread out and pop up a second table. Also set up, the snacky table LOL, and a table of quilting items - fabic, patterns, embelishments, buttons, ribbon, sew on patches and "sew" much more on a give-away table; and on another table we put fabric in larger quantities for sale for a donation to give to the camp. Everyone knows everyone - because they all gather at the quilt guild meetings once a month and I go to the meetings during our winters here. The noise level is not so much the chatter of the quilters, but the hum and whir of the sewing machines. It is such a fun atmosphere.
We had a tour of the $30,000 reno of the kitchen facilities - a truly professional layout to handle a lot more than our group. Their oven (not microwave) is self cleaning with water! There is a special unit to make 2 dozen buns at one time and so much more. The layout was done professionally, with a flow of stations for making meals that is quick, efficient and people are not running into each other to prep.
