Hobbes wanders over to the new folks for a chat.
Surfside RV Resort, Parksville BC (2 stars)
Nice weather today so Lee follows Hobbes outside a few times. Hobbes decides to go west instead of east today. He wanders halfway down the row of motorhomes and the owner of a beautiful 1999 Prevost is soon out there smiling at him. As Lee and the owner chat about RVing, Hobbes sits patiently between them. Lee thinks Hobbes must be part dog (but don't tell Hobbes that).
Watched the top two junior teams in Canada this week battle it out. Our Oil Kings against the Winnipeg Ice. We won 3-2 in a really good, hard fought game.
Lez smiles: The sun shines bright. Finally we see the blinking orb. We dare not complain. We had a super high tide this morning, with a very widened estuary section here. Hobbes was unable to wander his usual estuary walk. I guess we slept too late and missed the Otter that had breakfast courtesy a fish he caught, that is until the Eagle dropped by and stole breakfast.
Our fireplace has been running and not a squeek! My sewing machine is humming - and not a squeek. I finished the minor adjustments to blue jeans - and not a squeek (Lee's humour). Was out with mom - she stopped in our place afterwards, Hobbes greeted us at the door - and was ready to wander out assuming the bright sun also meant very warm air. By then the tide was out so he was able to wander the usual space between us and the estuary water, but he returned to the Schooner without wandering very far.
