The farm consisted of two quarter sections of land. Its DLS address is the SW and NW quarters of section 33 range road 19 township 19 west of the second meridian. Known as SW-33-19-19-W2 and NW-33-19-19-W2. The farmyard is located on the north west corner of what is known today as the fifth LSD (Legal Subdivision) of the south west quarter. The road is known today as Range Road 2194. Ah, the Dominion Lands Survey! Confused yet?
The farm had a two story brick house, two large barns and several smaller structures. Water was pumped from a well (quality was terrible). There were two dugouts on the land. When the Zwaals first visited, the Poulters were on a party telephone line shared by eleven neighbours. The Poulter ring was a short and two long.
