Sometime after 1955 Anne took a teaching position at the one-room Bluffview School, located on a bluff of the road one half mile south of the Poulter farm yard. Anne boarded with the Poulters during her tenure.

The school was located on Range Road 194 (now Range Road 2194) across from the south west corner of Alf Poulter's land. When Lee started helping Alf on the farm, the school building was still there, but long unused. It was removed around 1970 and the land returned to the surrounding land owner.
