Pay Books     [1941 - 1943]

These were Alf's Pay Books during his service. Apparently the most current one was always held by the soldier.

Alf started out at $ 20.00 per month in Regina. Shortly thereafter, his pay was raised to $ 1.30 per day.

It notes in his pay books that he regularly sent funds back to his mother, usually $ 20.00 at a time.
