Chuck gets cracked up.

Lee remembers the words of the Yukon neighbours we had at Bella Pacifica campground near Tofino a few days ago. They said that visiting the Yukon likely meant we would get cracks in our windshield.

Hmm. While washing Chuck today, Chuck developed a crack from top to bottom almost in front of the driver's position. I guess further cracks from passing vehicles on Yukon roads won't be as traumatic.

Keeping cool is the order of the day, and the sun beating cloudlessly on us and no wind until later made for the warmest day we have had for a long time. Even Hobbes spent stretch-out time under the RV in the cooler shade. His water bowl was replenished a couple of times.

We walked up for some groceries, taking our time and making a big three kilometer loop through Parksville Park and the Island Highway.
