We gathered at the La Perle playground for Brenda Lund's 70th birthday celebration. For Lee, it brought back good memories of building that playground many years ago. The building applications, civic playground safety criteria, grant applications, fund raising and on and on. It must have been worth it because the playground equipment looks just as good now as it did when we built it.

Lez congratulates Brenda Lund on her 70th birthday. She is the first of the Macarena ladies to reach that milestone. Her request was for the Macarena and spouses and her kids and grandkids to hold a morning party at La Perle Playground where we spent many hours with our children. It was a pretty cool morning, but there was so many good nibblies to share, and we all brought our own thermoses of hot coffee.
