The end is in sight.

Lee spent the day cleaning and boxing up loose ends at the election office. All that is left is to open, empty and collapse the 186 ballot boxes, which will be done tomorrow under scrutiny, as per election rules.
It's almost time to clean and box up the Schooner and head for Parksville. Lee is getting anxious.
Lez is ensconced in the RV today. The weather is quite nice, and Hobbes is able to go in and out at will. He does love to wander the acreage, still staying within its boundaries. No visible catches of a mouse today. We did have a wee chickadee get caught in the tent porch area - it was in quite a panic, chirping loudly and flying back and forth, truly stressed. I opened the RV door to step out, and the frame must have caught its attention, as it saw blue sky through the opening between the Schooner and the upper wall where it loosely joins the awning. It went out so fast ! How it got in. No idea. Same way perhaps.
As I did a cursory clean up of the RV, I went over to the outdoor kitchen to get some our of sparkle water drinks to bring to the indoor fridge. I opened the door and noticed the corn of only two days ago looking "funky" and pulled it out to toss away. Then I noticed black mould spots . on all the surfaces. Well - so much for a lazy day in the sunshine! Out came the bucket of hot water, Dawn and bleach. Rubber gloves saved my hands and the fridge received a very thorough cleaning Must keep a better eye on that fridge. I suspect it really needs to be plugged in and kept a little cooler than we are doing.
Our day ended around our hosts firepit and a relatively warm evening, even after the sun set. Once again we slept like logs.
