Hobbes is back, we are relieved.
Port Ordze, Sherwood Park, AB (2 stars)
We got a call at 7 am from the vet. Hobbes is doing fine and will be discharged at 10 am. Whew! Apparently he had a bout of pancreatitis. We brought him home and we could tell he was getting better because he ate and immediately wanted to go outside. Not until tomorrow, bud.
Lez is relieved: We can pick up Hobbes, and came home with instructions for pills and a liquid antibiotic to give to Hobbes at 3 a.m. and every 12 hours afterwards. We discussed that and agreed we could move it to a better 7 a.m, 7 pm schedule. We kept him inside for the day, and although he did eat a bit, he continues to have issues trying to poop. And stress we are going through at meds time. Pills have always been a challenge - as anyone who has cats knows, I am sure. This syringe full of ucky tasting stuff (you can tell by the reaction from Hobbes). He is not really eating much, is still drinking - but not the robust beast we know.
