Hit the ground running.

Lee took Lez over to Sturgeon Hospital for her surgery and then headed over to the Edmonton West election office. It felt like old home week, with so many familiar faces back for another election. Lee's timing was good; the main shipment of election material came in during the afternoon (seven pallets) which meant he could direct where he wanted all those boxes to be placed.
No exhibition games. The election season has started.
Lez is very nervous: We are heading to the Sturgeon Hospital in St. Albert for my hernia surgical procedure. Something new for me, and I know I will be in good hands. I'm actually more concerned about how I'll feel afterwards and how long before "I'll be back!". In prep there was no food or drink after Sunday midnight. And then the anesthesiologist says to stay hydrated. Eh
The surgery was scheduled for 11:45 - and I guess that is still within the limits of retaining my hydration. But, I actually am anesthetized closer to 3pm and that became an issue. She needed the ultrasound machine to find a vein that wouldn't collapse as they tried to set me up on an IV. I was dehydrated.
Being "put under" is so weird. One minute you feel you are being smothered, but before you can react - the room comes into view because the surgery is done! And just about every move your body makes hurts the tummy.
