Lee got his fill of aircraft and speed at the Alberta Air Show held in Villeneuve. The A-10 Warthog and CF-18 Hornet were the highlights. He is still amazed at how a CF-18 can come towards him perfectly quiet until right over head at which point those massive thrust engines make that familiar roar.

You can see them coming, but they are totally silent until they are just about overhead.
